Outside the windows the day was bright: golden sunshine, blue sky, pleasant breeze....and yet from the very start I knew it was not going to be a good day, and I was right. I wanted to do something kind and thoughtful, I wanted to remember, and I will, no matter what. 

Oh please excuse the funny accent, I am from Overhill, and  we all talk funny up there in the woods. If only I had a coin every time I say this...I would be the richest Hobbit in the Shire, I tell you that. Anyhow something really nice happened.Simbo, Nannie and I met this lad called Davlo Diggle, originally from around Bree. He recently moved to the Shire and set up home here.

Morning in the small village of Brightdown begins the same way each day. At least it had for as long as I lived here.

A jewel has brilliant fire, but it gives no warmth. Her hands are not so soft, but they can serve. Her body not so young, but she is strong. her lips are not perfumed, but they speak the truth. Love is not an art to her. Love It's just part of life and death. She is not dressed in gold and silver and fine linen. Strength and honor are her clothing. Her small wagon is not the columned halls of Men, Dwarves, and Elves, but Hobbit children play happily before it. She can offer you little...

Very few people noticed his absence, or so he thought. Almost eight years had passed since Tahitoa Tuk had first come to the Shire after the death of his parents in his native village Maur Tulhau. Eight years since he had first met his adoptive family in Overhill.

When I am by myself, entirely alone, mostly during the night when I cannot sleep, it is at such time that my music flow best. This is my reply to darkness:to make music more intensely, more beautifully, than ever before. Since returning home my evenings have been filled with musical notes and words for new songs. Where does this new music coming from? The answer is very simple, it comes from the heart.
