Mysterious Relics Cause Concern

News has reached Rivendell of evil runes written onto stone pillars placed around the world. Are they harmless Hobbit pranks, a sign of an imminent invasion or an even more sinister plot by the Enemy?

From several corners of the world, News has http://laurelinarchives.org/node/5748|come to Rivendell about mysterious, evil runes. The runes are placed on stone pillars and seem to emanate an evil presence. Currently, their provenance and purpose are unknown.

If you or your travelling companions should find one such relic, the healers of Rivendell advise you not to touch it under any circumstance! Instead, inform Lord Khalis of Rivendell, Lord Galvathalion of the Calarind, Lord Andarne of Lórien or Lady Nimlith of the Tree-singers immediately. Either can be reached by messages addressed to the Last Homely House in Rivendell.

Research into those runes and their evil purpose is ongoing at the Last Homely House. Currently, the Elves wish to inform us that there is no cause for concern if you do not approach the relics directly and advise your comrades to do the same.
