Day 449
We crossed the bridge to the barren lands yesterday and have decided to travel with the dwarf, he is good company.
These lands are not as I remember. Much has changed but maybe it is me who cannot remember correctly. This place is still beautiful, raw and bare with the hills and mountains as far as the eye can see.
We saw ruins in the distance and Braegi told us it was Ost Guruth, home of the Eglain. He spoke of lingering there, we are welcome to join. We will see, maybe we will stay and maybe we will continue and see Braegi later when he has reached the Bree Lands.
But we made way to the fortress to see it and meet its people. We have been well welcomed so far and sitting so high gives me a beautiful view over the land. The dwarf does worry about his cart and pony as he was not able to bring it up the stairs we climbed. They assure him that his goods will be untouched and the pony cared for.
I stepped to the drop of the hill and in the distance I saw another ruin, it sits so high up. Maybe we will make way there next.
