Much has happened in the past few days and yet I find myself not able to write much. I should be taking notes to take back. I will fix this.
I have met many people after returning to Bree. Friedriche, Shau, Agnatha, Ynna, and Xanderian to remember a few. I learned that I and Agnatha share the same fate and I am not sure if to be happy with the find or saddened if I would speak with her more and know more about it. Would it feed my fear of it?
Ynna comes from the land of the Horse-lords and is a bringer of music. Her song was relaxing and it moved the air around us, it was beautiful. Xanderian stood and listened as well and that woman still puzzles me. I do not understand why she has such a long name or why she speaks it when questioned about the name. So many titles and none of them had any meaning to me, they were forgotten. Is that not the fate of those with long names? To be forgotten? It is harder to remember.
I met a strange guest in the tavern, a dog. He was friendly and I wanted to sit with him longer but the Hobbit chased him again. Maybe I will see him another day. The fur is tangled, he could do with a brushing and some warmth.
Today we will go fishing. Heng said there was a lake in the north where we have been permitted to fish. With good fortune, we shall return with a good fish that we will bring to the baker, Owena. If she has time maybe I can show her how to cook one of my people's dishes and bake our bread. If we catch many fish maybe there is time for a gathering so many can eat with us. She is a friendly woman and must have many friends.
Heng has allowed me to work on the charm promised to the baker. I have not felt such joy before. I have never been allowed to work like this before. I hope I will not ruin the work done. The symbol has been made and now we only need to carve it.
Kristophor and Aeruthuil shall remain in my prayers.
*An image is painted on the bottom of the parchment*
