[Day 465]

Day 465

We have made way to the road again but our track has been slow, maybe we've grown a bit lazy in our stay here.

The night before our departure did not go as I had hoped. Early in the day I spoke with Hunsley and I told him of what I had planned and I asked him if I could aid with preparing some food for the small feast. He allowed me so. Not long after he departed I was left to spend the day in silence.

My companion joined me later after he had taken his walk and rested. We spoke long and I had to ask his forgiveness, none other had come and the food had grown cold. I wanted for us to learn more of Rohan but the woman of those lands I have met did not show until very late. By then my companion had gone to prepare the blessing for the Mad Boar we had promised and would not return to celebrate with us and even with the woman arriving nothing was learned of her homeland except a single story already known to me.

There was no song, there was no dance and only two tales were told while the company lingered. That of Félarof and the other of Fattah the Troll-slayer.
It wasn't until much later when most had gone that Inayat added a tale that I and my new companion, Khazim, were able to hear and enjoy.  Maybe they will wish to hear my own tale another time.
While we explore the northern part of Bree-land we must keep an eye out for a woman that goes by Tacita, green clad woman with a hood, weapons and rides a chestnut brown steed.

While I had wished the company had come sooner I will not complain for I am thankful any showed at all to enjoy a drink and company. The food that was left made for simple rations that can last us a couple of days.
It was a good night and I was able to give the Mad Boar more life and now will hope that they continue to see such life and merriment within their tavern. They are good people and they are welcoming. I shall look forward to visiting them again when we pass through the land of Bree-land another day.

Before we left Heng gave Hunsley our gift. A wind chime that shall continue to bring song to their house when the wind makes its way across the land, an instrument for it to play for the people who will visit the Mad Boar.

I will miss them.
