Captain's Quick Report: The Brandy Badgers: A roofstock owlfestation

Gather together did a group of Hobbits this day, and upon the roofs of the Stock inn, the Golden Perch Inn, did they play!

At the behest of Master Gunderic whom runs the establishment below their feet, the Brandy Badgers and a delightful crowd ( though humble in size ) danced, stomped, and jigged their merry way for a good many hours into the night ( and morning it seems! ) to the music by the Hobbit musician known as Bruco Springrock.  A Hobbit-lad whom aside from his songs, is also known to be involved with some haunting stories.

Merry music of the folk and countryside of the Shire would you have heard if present, there were stories and songs sung that invited lively stepping, thoughts about Bounders sleeping, a fine Hobbit's birthday to celebrate anew, and even a reminder to open the Southfarthing Gate!

And all this for the cause of driving out the nesting owls in the Golden Perch Inn's roofs of thatch and hay, and dried grass perhaps?  Some suggested it might have done the settlement of Stock better should they have properly built their community into proper burrows with earthly sod and dirt over their heads -- then there wouldn't have been this problem in the first place!

The final verdict of this rehearsal by the Brandy Badgers upon the roofs of Stock's famous Golden Perch Inn seemed in favor of the 'owlfestation' being cleared when they returned not after their nightly hunting to roost -- but either way it was a most fine time of music very much in the spirit of Hobbits, the Shire-life, and fantastic stories and tales!

P.S.

Next on the horizon appears to be a special performance at this week's coming 'Bird and Baby Yard Party' where a musical performance by the Shire Tramps will be had as the guest artists invited to play.  Elsewhere the anticipation grows as preparations for the famous Green Dragon Friday 8th Anniversary, the Main Party itself, continues to spread far and wide from Hobbit to Hobbit as gossip and eager rumours.  A few days later after that is going to be the 'Forest of OAKS 2', a celebration of another year of successful OAKS ( Oldfurlong Amazing Koncert Series ) over in the village of Oldfurlong.  Other interesting news in the Bramblebury Gazette foretell of things like burrow-crawls where Hobbits will visit their neighbours at the end of this Month over in Songburrow; seeing the sights and landmarks of popular note along the way as they tour through the homesteads.

(( Disclaimer: Hello folks, I'd like to caution you that taking a look at the embedded slideshows coming up below will likely not go too well if your in a hurry, and hoping to just get a 'general gander' at what the event was like.  The 'Overview Collection' above is more suited for that!

Viewing the albums embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded.  In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many more of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc!  Thanks for reading.

Extra Note: Remember not all the words to the songs sung and conversations/chatter by players are captured 100% in the screenshots below!  These are mostly snippets throughout the event, aiming to give you a general gist/idea of the kind of things happening, the sort of songs being played, the kind of witty bantering and Hobbity chatter happening throughout the event!  ))
