Captain's Quick Report: Summer Poetry Competition
I shall hope this reaches the Archives in a timely manner, but what with all the other matters going on these days, it may well arrive a little later than usual. For though thus this day was for visitors to enjoy a time of Summer Poetry Competition, back there at the Methel Stage, as called by Hobbits within the Shire, just north hence of Bywater -- it turned to other means of entertainment other than the planned contest; for it was announced by Miss Nannie that a postponing of the actual competition had taken place, due to circumstances where many others were not able to attend in person this day.
And so instead what took place was a more general reading of poems, stories, tales and writings from the audience gathered; akin more to such in the past that was the 'Summer Tales In The Shire' event last year, where participants-willing came forward to share their writings, imagination, and stories (and some even songs) without the loom of competition or contest woven into the event's purpose; as was planned for today's event, but now delayed until a few weeks have passed -- so it was mentioned!
In that light, this early report on the event will be much shorter than usual, for in my mind's eye there will no doubt be opportunity again upon the horizon to see some of the poems and stories shared today; return on the official day this Summer Poetry Competition is rescheduled next. Most likely the Bramblebury Gazette will within hold details soon -- pertaining to when the specific date is announced next for this event!
Still, managed a few rough sketches of today's storytellers I did, whom shared freely in light of the postponing of the official contest -- and for a good while made the attendance to the event ever a warm and thoughtful time to return from. A brief, and small collection of my collected sketchings will be attached to this draft report -- but I expect a more full collection will be better published perhaps when the rescheduled event comes to pass, and a more relevant report published then for it. Hohoho...

P.S.
Busy and lacking in spare time have I been lately, but if it interests you, other events this month included throughout Middle-earth as rumours go were that Elves celebrated their cultural tradition of welcoming the season of Summer a some days ago; with surely some fine art and paintings made depicting the moments from the event afterwards. A company calling themselves 'The Socks' were also supposed to have held an 'Odd Socks party' as well, and later before this final week of the month comes to an end, there will be a 'Bird and Baby Yard Party Featuring Mr. Bruzo and Friends!'
(( Disclaimer: Just a light reminder, that the screenshots/pictures you will see below do not show the full stories/poems/tales that was shared at this event. Out of the countless of lines from each one, I have snipped a few bits from each and put them together in the album below. What you are seeing is not the full poem or story that was told. ))
Overview Collection
A Reminder from Captain Naismithea: Due to the said postponing of this event, the full collection of rough sketches and drawings I did make from what did unfold today... I suspect will be better kept unpublished for the time being -- as no doubt the actual, rescheduled event likely to be announced in the coming weeks by Miss Nannie sometime -- will be more fitting the expectations to see hence again some of the lovely creativity, imagination, and story-telling poets come out to share their talents in contest.
A chance for those who couldn't make this day's spectacle to attempt again, eh!
And so for this early report only the 'Overview Collection' of selected sketches and drawings are made available with this writing.
