As they need pass Harwick on their travels for Lord Tuibar, the family stop for a short visit with Yllfa's papa, Beornherd. The older man welcomes them warmly and, although he is frailer than he once was, seems keen to keep in contact. It's the first Waelden and Ethel have met him, and Ethel is rather pleased she now has a grandpapa, Waelden's father having died some years before.

There is talk of meeting again soon. It is possible Beornherd may even travel to Bancross.

((With thanks to Waelden's player for taking the picture.))

Brunleik had been unprepared for the sudden snowfall overnight, and so he decided to make way once the sun had risen higher to warm the air.
