Beggars and Bandits

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

The dangers one encounters on the leagues between the Lone-Lands and the Ered Luin, and the wretched aspect of the inhabitants cannot be understated. The principal way through the Bree-land is upon the old highway, built by one of their kings, and is long-neglected and crumbling away: it seems the people have retained nothing of the activity and energy of their ancestors, for good roads encourage trade into remote provinces, and this encourages industry and enforcement of order.

Autumn's Return

Story
Autumn's Return

Foredawn broke grey over a moody sky, and the fields were glistening with fog-covered dew when the watchers of Bree changed shifts. With the break of day died the last warmth of summer, and about the South Gate there swirled the first gold and russet leaves of autumn.
The gate opened and out into the chill air stepped a guard with a lantern. 'Morning', he yawned to the nightwatchman, 'anything to report?'
'Nothing but the turn of stars.'

The Women

*splayed open upon the desk before her lay the blue, leather bound book, its bindings still new and protesting at being held open, the only sound in the room being that of the scratching of quill to parchment and her dog whimpering in its dream filled sleep.

Set Free...

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Taala had not experienced anything as peculiar since the day the Orc climbed over the wall at Eaworth and Cook had panicked and thrown a pot of stew over it.

Captive - Part 1

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

It was probably the blow to the head that granted Taala some sleep that first night in captivity, though her dreams were tormented.

Kidnapped

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Taala was no fool, but she would play the game and act like she was.

The blue book of confessions

*A blue, leather bound book sits upon the table before her.  A silver inkwell and quill to her right, a goblet of red wine to her left.  Tapping the quill to her lips in thought, she then dips the sharpened end in ink before writing...*

Another day, another storm.

How oft I think of committing words to this book, and how frequently I lack the enthusiasm, but the wine and events of late have made me more reflective.  Though before I continue, my bard, if you are reading this you shall cease now and return the book to where you found it!

A letter to my brother

Hookworth Village, May 13

Dear Ravondir

I do not know why I write to you, as I am sure that no post will pass the mountains, and the letters I have already written to Ada and Nana will not have reached them. But I need to write down some of what has happened to me; in truth, I would not wish you to read much of this, as I know you will think I bring shame on the family. Nevertheless, I will set it down, and decide later what to do with it.

An interesting encounter with the likeable 'Rogue' Scarlock.  A shooting competition involving a tree and an acorn, but who really won the prize?

Scarlock seems to have the same ideas about freedom as she has.  Their paths would soon cross again, this time involving, an elf, an arrow, the Town Watch and an amusing escape from Bree Jail.
