A Jarful or Two

A jarful or two

When the nighttime approaches I go to the larder
Ter find me some food that will help me to sleep
Me dog sits behind me as I do the cooking
What falls on the floor surely is hers ter keep
How grand is a pie with a savoury filling
How fine is a pot full of herby lamb stew
But sweeter and finer and dear ter me belly
Are honey oat biscuits, a jarful or two

Songs and Dances From Our Past

I wander all across the Shire
Looking for the tunes of old
The songs and dances from our past
I write down all the ones I’m told

All of our hamlets have their own songs
With local stories, tales and names
But as you travel through our lands
You find the music is the same

Mr. Bilbo's Cellar and The Hobbit Market

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

I happened to reading various bits of Shire news this morning and found two amazing discoveries

(1) Of all days for me to let my curiosity get the best of me - and take unscheduled time away from work! I'd been hearing rumuours here and there about old Mr. Bilbo's Cellar. As I had a wee job to do for Miss Lobelia (the olde moo), I just thought I'd have a wander about since I was already there.

My First Social at The Green Dragon

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Acting on the promise I made to Miss Sevelda to attend the next gathering at The Green Dragon, I turned up shortly before festivities were due to begin this past Friday evening. Unfortunately my memory being as bad as it is, I had to ride like the wind from my latest job to home and then from home to Bywater. I was unsuccessful with this latest bit of work, and needed some fun to comfort me for feeling such a failure.
