What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Again it has been some days since I wrote in this book, as if I need to collect my thoughts before I put them into writing.I'm sitting in Gondamon, at the top of the stairs, looking down over the entrance. It's at the crack of dawn and the first vendors have just arrived below me, I'm watching them setting up their stalls and placing their goods on the tables.I think I will try and draw the scene when I'm done writing this.

Forochel Journal Entry 5

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I left the dwarf stronghold a few days later, they sent me off with well preserved traveling food, and fresh blankets. The day was much warmer than the day I arrived, and I was able to make progress working my way back east to see the other half of the land. I moved past many familiar land marks, and by the afternoon I had successfully re-traced my steps.     As I continued onward, a thick fog rolled in, and soon I could barely see ten feet in front of me.

When I awoke, it was still dark, but the cold was nearly unbearable. It was perhaps the coldest I have ever felt, certainly the coldest night of my journey thus far.

Ponso's Epic Adventure - Day 28 - A long way round

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry

Day XXVIII continued — A long way round
We stood and looked down at the chasm below;
Most of the dwarves were in tears.
They couldn’t believe that something had sundered
The bridge that had stood here for years
‘Let’s hope we’re not trapped here,’ Kandral said,
‘That rope bridge our weight must bear.’
He was the first to step back from the bridge,
Running a hand through his hair.

Day XXIII continued
I saw a circle of anxious faces
‘You’ve taken a blow to the head.’
Said Kandral, ‘So just lay there, quite still,’
‘I don’t know how you’re not dead!’
Then I pulled off my cap to show underneath
On top of my bushy black hair,
Was a pie, in its tin, now smashed all to bits
Well, how all them dwarfies did stare!

The Appraisal

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Whatever gold the Wood-elves collected was found by washing the sands of the beds of the forest-streams. The elves could not afford to spend their energies on painstakingly sifting for a few grains of gold; with the Shadow under wood, they were always watchful, and it was perilous to wander far. Their ornaments were simple, and they strung garlands of sweet-scented flowers or leaves to wear in their hair.

An uneventful day but a day of thought and contemplation.
