Ravenbeard Family Chronicles

Author:
Rakul Ravenbeard, Rolvurul

Here follows a history of the Ravenbeards, as far back as the founding of our name. This chronicle is in story format because that is easier to read and understand than trying to make the reader sort through diaries, old family tales, interviews, and various miscellaneous documents. That is my job as a Scholar - to make our history accessible to future generations.

Iron in the Deep: A Miner's Tale

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

It was a day like any other down in the mines of Járnfast. Afli was working deep in the east lodes, in one of the newer levels. It followed the iron vein further down, about eight hundred feet into the lower mountain. The tunnel he was working on had only been delved inwards for about two feet. There were no raises to the other level yet, and he barely had enough of a ledge to sit on and rest. This tunnel he was working on would lead to another ore deposit, of that Foreman Brumber was sure.

Last Stop, End of the Line

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

A line of wagons extends a quarter-mile out from the eastern gate of Bree-town. At the front of the line a gate-watcher handles each of the merchants, collecting their bills of inventory and checking their trading permits. 'You're all set, sir. Now move along', he says, lackadaisically ushering the next wagon inside.
