One day, When Barlinda had just turned 3 years old, She and her father were going for a walk in Archet and got back home to the Hunting lodge and smelt smoke, She and her father saw smoke coming from the rooves of Archet and he quickly put her in a chair and ran to help. She heard distant screaming from the little town, and was scared, was her father alive? was he hurt? was he dead? She knew nothing, her mother passed a month before, was she to lose a father aswell? She went into Archet the next day, she found bodies laying on the ground, she saw her father sitting next to a post a few feet away, she quickly ran to him, he tried to talk but couldn't, he then died right in her arms, She ran to bree to find help, she quickly found Butterbur who gave her a place to live.
