Gaildrin has a boyish face with long straw-like hair, a patchy beard, and a scar running down the left side of his face. He stands at around 5'11" (1.8m), with a thin, somewhat lanky build,

He wears a red arming jacket with a chain shirt underneath, as well as a single pauldron and gauntlets. A shining longsword is kept sheathed at his hip, and he wears a brown cloak over his shoulders.

Background

Gaildrin comes from the city of Dale, beneath the shadow of the Lonely Mountain. He traveled to Bree with other refugees when the War of the Ring had begun, and stayed there, for a time. He met other displaced people, mostly Men Elves and Dwarves, and he learned many things from them.

One of these people was a warrior who trained Gail in the art of combat and war, and taught him to live with chivalry and honor. The warrior was slain in battle, and since then Gaildrin went out on his own, and has become a knight of some little renown within the North-Lands.

One of his more recent adventures occurred in the Grey Mountains, where he slayed some dragon-kin believed to be of the same brood as Smaug the Terrible.
