A Turn of Another Year
| Date: | April 6th, 2012 |
|---|---|
| Time: | 19.00 GMT (7PM) |
| Location: | The southernmost point of Celondim |
Event details:
As one year has passed again and another is about to start, the master of the Refuge of Celondim has sent for elves across the land to gather in his quarters in the spirit of memorizing the passed year and to celebrate the beginning of the new.
The nearby vintner, Brethilwen, has kindly offered us her wares of sweet draughts. Food, too, has been gathered to assemble this mighty feast.
Bring your pipes and harps, for music is a gift and made to be heard.
Aren't you a bit late for a New Year's party?
Wait. Slow down. What are you speaking of? January? Hmph! Men...
The Elves celebrate their New Year in April 6th, as stated in the LOTR appendixes. As I saw nothing was planned on this day, I thought it'd be nice to have such an event.
K, sounds legit. Can I bring my hobbit?
It is strongly encouraged and recommended to bring your Elf character to this event since, after all, this is the Elven New Year's gathering.
Okay, so what kind of action will there be?
Nothing is arranged, only the gathering. I thought it'd be kind of an enlarged Hall of Fire gathering or like the Green Dragon Friday. Any actions are executed by the guests, and the organizer (me) will just be there like all the others.
Yet a few words, considering the nature of the event:
Participate! As said, bring your tunes with you, or poetry, or stories, or whatever you think would be suitable for this kind of event.
Please, no weapons, as this is a peaceful gathering. For even as the subject of war may be discussed freely, it is not encouraged to bring any tools of the subject with you.
