I was doing mercenary work in Cardolan, when I heard that the dwarven caravan market was coming to Herne, so I decided to pay a visit to it. I met my friend Frimsi again, as well as Dilfinn, whom I bought armor from before. They told there were rumors that undead had been seen in the area. I handed out some free biscuits, as I had made too many during practice. To lighten the mood, I also played some tunes on my lute.
Eventually, a ranger showed up and reported that, besides the regular brigands, he had also seen something else, though he wasn't sure what. Me and an elven archer went with him to investigate, but we found no trace of what he saw. This was rather odd, and a bit concerning, as the should have been some kind of tracks left behind. We eventually give the search and head back to town to give our report.
Back in Herne I exchange a few words with a wandering dwarf named Thjolfrik and offer him some biscuits as well.
An elf, whom I recognize from a previous dwarven caravan market, turns up and I hear a dwarf call her Celebreneth. She and Frimsi speak about her using the dwarven tongue in public, which is taboo. As people start to leave, eventually there's only me, Frimsi, Celebreneth and the elven archer left. We continue to converse about dwarfs and their language, but eventually the conversation draws to a close and Frimsi says it's time for him to leave.
As he was the only dwarf left, I figure that the caravan market is over and bid the others farwell, to return to my mercenary work. Seeing as no undead had turned up, I offer to keep an eye out for them while I work. Hearing this, the elven archer asks that, should I see any, I come find her to the east of town, or the ranger to the west, to report what I saw. Having agreed, I finally take my leave. As I rode away, I heard mention of a missing loremistress of Rivendell, but I never caught her name.
I did not see any undead during my mercenary work and eventually I made camp for the night.

I returned to Bree and wrote a letter for my friend Hamelmond, telling him about my meeting with Braxwald's sister. I left the letter with Barliman Butterbur at the Prancing Pony, as I had no other adress for the hobbit bard. Since I still had some a lot of biscuits left, I decided to leave some of those for my friend as well.
Being in the letter writing spirit, I decided to also send a report to Frimsi, to let him know I had not seen any undead, and gave him some more biscuits as well.
