Personal notes : The summon

Back to Imladris, after all this months who passed like a dream..

It was one torn letter, partly destrroyed and stained with blood that brougt me the news, a letter given to me by one of the wardens of Lothlorien. It was found on a dead Orc chieftan, and my name was still visible, and so was the sigil of the Tur of Vanimar. I think I recognise the writing of Veryacano and of the words is clear this was a summon back to Imladris, one for all the oathsworn of Vanimar. How old was this letter? Is hard to tell, but my oath asks me to respond to the call of my Tur, even if I am late.

Cirdamir agreed to accompany me with sadness in his voice. This short return to the place he calls home did not compensate the long time he miised Lothlorien. The love each of us bears to his homeland is always a cloud between us, the only cloud on a brigth sky of summer. I have the choice between my sadness to be away from the places dear to me and the sadness to see him missing his homeland. We both love to discover new places and our life together should probably be a continous journey for both of us to be happy, with Imladris at one end and Lothlorien at the other and with forever different roads between them, as curled and complicated as ivy stems.

How will I balance the duty to my chosen home -Vanimar- and the call of my heart? I do not know, as I do not know what danger or need made Anglachelm summon all Vanimarians around him. Little I found out in this first day back in Rivendell. It seems Vanimarians are spread around Imladris in various missions and the campaign headquarters of Vanimar near the Forges are almost deserted, guarded by few young recruits still to prove their worth. I will know more when I will see the Tur.

Yet one good sign casts its peacefull shine between my hands, for now on the same chain with the ring so dear to my heart : another ring, that I will gift in return for his to my beloved. The first thing that caugth my glance at my return. Was just finishing it when I searched for news of Vanimar at the Forges. And I knew I was searching for it.
