An Unexpected Market

Come one and all to this month’s Unexpected Market! This is a RP market event that will be a bit different than the usual Dwarven Caravan Markets that Durin’s Folk hosts. Once a month there will be an Unexpected Market in which the Dwarves of Durin’s Folk decide to host it in a surface-dwelling settlement without any prior warning to the local authorities. This market wouldn’t be unexpected if the local authorities knew what was coming and were able to prepare in advance for a rambunctious company of unruly Dwarves! So come and join the Dwarves of Durin's Folk as they travel to random surfacing-dwelling settlements across Middle-Earth in order to bring to them wealth and prosperity! And perhaps a healthy measure of mischief too!

This Week’s RP Situation: Frimsi has approached Frideric the Elder, leader of the Eglain, with an offer to host this month’s Unexpected Market in Ost Guruth. Well, he didn’t ‘approach’ but rather ‘randomly showed up’. But regardless, while Frideric the Elder was delighted to have a market bring in more money for the Eglain, he was disappointed to inform Frimsi that they were unusually short on Arnorian trinkets to sell, and as such there would be no purpose to host a market here. But Frimsi insisted they were not here to buy Arnorian trinkets but rather to buy scary stories. For the spirit of the season! And he has been told the Eglain of Ost Guruth regularly have traumatic experiences that could easily serve as material for scary stories. Delighted Frederic the Elder welcomed the Dwarven Caravan Market with open arms, as the Eglain have an endless supply of such stories to share.

A few OOC details to consider:

1) This RP event will take place during a POST-war timeline. So for the most part for this RP event we will be assuming a timeline that is up to date with what is going on in the game plot wise.

2) Anyone is allowed to attend as a vendor should he or she want to. And the exchange of in-game items as a vendor in the market is OPTIONAL. Though this is first and foremost a RP event, so if you aren't a RPer you probably would not enjoy attending.

3) If you need help getting to one of the markets when it is hosted in a higher level area, please contact one of the officers of Durin's Folk for help getting there.

4) All races are welcome!
