Patient: Man, female, middle-aged
Symptoms: Severe joint pains
Treatment: Pipeweed blend - mixed: Blue
Meeting: Kept informed
Miss Sera came by informing me that her mother's pain has gotten worse. The likely cause is the temperature lowering due to incoming winter. I asked to examine the woman and was invited to their home. As suspected, there is nothing I can do for her ailment. There is no known cure regarding such joint pains, and all I can offer is to help manage the pain. I brought with me the pipeweed (blue), and she's been given it to test its effect on her body. By the time I left, the woman was calm, and miss Sera was thankful. I've asked her to keep me informed about her mother's condition and the effects of the treatment.

Aeruthuil continues to be an interesting company. I've only now realized that a large part of the day was spent talking with him while I sat in my chair, relaxed. Before that, mister Sig came by to speak with me. Both master Maddoct and miss Blackburrow have pointed him my way, as I requested.
I gave him half a portion of the elixir and it did seem to take a mild effect. He described feeling himself getting more active. I was unable to linger to observe him, but I asked that he'd come back either in the evening or day after.
He chose to come back in the evening. Miss Blackburrow was visiting currently to have me look at her ear and said she needed some supplies for the trip she's going on to the Blue Mountains if I recall correctly. An infection seems to be growing, and I've provided her with spirit to clean the cut and some garlic juice to drink, one tablespoon, three times a day.
She still hasn't asked her question, but she's assured me that it isn't medical. I did ask mister Sig to leave for a moment so she could speak with me in private, offered to step aside to the study as well, but she refused and the man insisted that I should simply continue towards the payment. By her request, I let the matter rest and she shall try to ask this question upon her return. I've reminded her to keep warm, seeing as winter is near and the mountains shall be cold. I don't want to see her Lung Fever return and despite my warning, the man spoke as if this wasn't anything to be concerned about. I'm uncertain what to make of that.
Mister Sig told me that he was feeling very active and impulsive from the drink. I had thought it would have passed through his system by then, but I had little time to examine and study him. Perhaps it was a simple excuse for him going into my study without permission. It was annoying. I'll have to adjust the elixir, try it again later.
There was something strange with miss Blackburrow when they were leaving. I can't put my finger on it. I made a comment that I hoped that all was well and she said nothing, her smile was off, and she gave no answer.
The woman, miss Dru, came by and the exercise I gave her has done little so far, it's too early to tell if it will help more. I've crafted a tool for her to use to strengthen her grip and pinch.
A simple design. Shall allow her to adjust it and mold as needed. I've asked to her to use it along with two other exercises. Hopefully it will yield more results.
* Make a fist, thumb over fingers. Hold for half a minute up to a minute. Release and stretch the fingers as wide as possible. Repeat four times for each hand.
* Place the palm down against a smooth surface. Lift each finger one at a time, then all together. Repeat eight to ten times for each hand.
The rest of the evening was spent in the company of miss Rushwood, mister Aeruthuil, and master Tumunir. It's harder to let conversation flow in a larger company when there are so many who are silent. It was awkward.
I learned very little about Durin's Day and had hoped to learn more. I was unable to inquire much or linger in the company once miss Sera came by. I can only hope that they weren't too insulted that I departed.
I know I shouldn't, but I need to step outside the infirmary. All these people have drained me, and I've had no chance to rest. May have to keep within eye or earshot of the place, should anyone need my assistance urgently.
