I need to remember to go over to the Boarding House to thank miss Rushwood.
The evening with Remdir and mister Aeruthuil went well enough. Met with miss Plumwood, had a meal and drink. It was a good distraction. I suppose all three of us need to learn to socialize more, all terrible at it. If it weren't for Plumwood being there, I assume we would have sat in silence.
Remdir left after an hour or so, and Plumwood returned to her work not long after. Me and Aeruthuil talked further into the evening, the need for small talk gone. I continue to learn more about him and he knows me also. I'm uncertain whether this is a good thing or not.
We dove into interesting matters, some that still don't have any answers.
We returned to the infirmary, where I found masters Maddoct and Bíld. He has returned from his journey. I was informed that they are making way to the mountains to celebrate the day of Durin. While the name is familiar, I don't know the history. I'll have to ask them about it when they return and hear more of Bíld's journey to the elven lands.
He tells me he has gotten some knowledge that the two must go over, and with luck, I shall be given a translated copy.
It still feels strange that he came to the infirmary, I had come to believe that the friendship we had ended after the whole incident. It's brought unusual ease, but he may have simply been in a good mood meeting Doc again. I'll see how things are and develop when he returns from the mountains.
While the whole evening was a good distraction from my mind, the matter of which I spoke to Aeruthuil made some thoughts return, and the temptation to continue the work crept up on me. I held myself long enough in the company, but in the end, I had to go do something.
I've recived a letter from master Yurri. It seems that I'll not be seeing him again, he's gone off to the mountains and there he shall remain, from what I understood. His thanks were oddly warming and I've packed the letter away to keep for the future. I'm unsure why, but I'm not too willing to toss it away. Maybe I'm starting to grow an odd attachment to their kin.
Master Tumunir came by as the evening grew late. He wanted to pay what he owes, but was uncertain if he could finish the job he promised me. I've pointed him to the supplies and offered that he could do what he can and when he needs to leave, he can pay the rest of the debt in coin. With the pouch I was given from master Maurr, I can at least keep my word to him and not have Tumunir pay too much out of his own pocket. I doubt that he would have accepted the charity of Maurr, better to keep it quiet and let him work. I shall benefit from it as well.
Fiontann has informed me that the work he's doing is coming to an end, or at least well on its way. Have to remember to reply to his letter, though I'm not certain what I'll do about a horse. I don't want to waste money on one, what then ride it. I'll have to speak with Remdir about the matter.
