Log 2: Entry 11

The fever of the three is starting to go down and their stomachs are partially settled. The rash has appeared on some of the younger children, but so far, it's hard to say whether it's the illness, or the result of playing in the hay.
I'll remain another day, then I'll have to return to town. There isn't much left of my supplies and I'll have to restock in town, if possible.

I've been shown another rash, from one of the other young farmhands. However, this isn't a rash like that of the patients. Apparently he was afraid to visit the local healer, not wanting the woman to have a look at it. Told me that he'd end up as the gossip between the women from here to the south. While I don't care much for gossip, it would be good for women to know about his condition, so they aren't infected themselves.
I've told him what to ask the local healer for, as well as encouraged that he at least warn his previous partners, allowing them to seek aid as well.

Think I'll be shopping at the butcher's when I visit the town, see if he'll be willing to part with the entrails for me to use. If I can get a decent bargain, then I can start making sheaths to sell. Will save me needing to look at more of these rashes and should spare women needing to get sick from carrot seeds due to an unwanted pregnancy. Men took to it back home, they may do here as well.

While looking through my supplies, I found a letter. It was something I grabbed off the table while being rushed out and forgot about.
I've been invited to miss Winkle's birthday party, from what I can understand. I don't think I've ever been to one before. At least she's given me some instructions, kind of her. I've never gotten the gift giving myself.
It seems that I may need to stop by the tailor to find some new clothing. Never thought I'd need any kind of formal wear after leaving home. Hopefully the family will be better tomorrow, at least enough for me to be gone for a day or two. I wouldn't want to disappoint miss Winkle.
