What is there to say about Zurich? In my brief amount of time with Indignation, I have noticed that this young woman who is branded a 'merciless killer' is more than anything, scared. She is lost, confused, and has no idea what she is doing in terms of her indignation. In a way, this does discredit Harlyn as a vapid leader, putting such a meek, shy, harmless girl as second in command of a band of vigilantes.
I cannot claim the girl is innocent, as she has been at the giving end of various crimes, but I can without a doubt imply that it is foolish to think she was the true mastermind behind any of it. She already follows me around like a lost puppy, and I've only known her personally for a month or so. It is more than apparent that she trusts people too easily, like me for example. I don't even trust me.
I cannot help but wonder what has made her this way - perhaps her childhood would tell a story of untold horrors that even my mind could not bare, but then again, it could just be something as simple as too many blows to the head.
I feel as if the girl can be rehabilitated. She's been through a lot it would seem, and is desperately searching for any sort of escape. I don't know how she'll manage it but I hope she does. Even if her leaving would send Indignation crumbling to the ground, once the weight falls off her shoulders and no one is there to hold it up.
