Time: Late Evening
Location: Stone Quarter, house of Mungan Woodham
Victims: None?
Suspect: A large, heavily bearded man, with dark hair, and dark attire. Name unknown
At the setting of the sun, I was approached by Corrben about a man (description above) who was claiming to be under house arrest, by us. This is something we do not do, as we lack the men in our roster necessary to confine people in locations beyond the jail. The man was trying to talke locals into making a trip to Buckland on his behalf, to pick up an order of Pipe weed. Something about this, is rather suspicious.
Upon heading up to the square to question this man, I was the approached by the businessman Mungan Woodham, who explained to me that a man with similar motif approached him just following, offering him coin whether he did this or not.
The man, matching the initial description, approached the house, and asked if Mungan had "Reconsidered his offer." Which, is more than likely in reference to the trip to Buckland. Mungan refused to task, and was still given a hefty pouch of silver.
I do not yet know the identity, or motif of this man. Perhaps he is just generous, but he's quite worth keeping our eye on; I feel as if I'd have an idea who he was, if he were really under any sort of confinement within the town of Bree.
