Report - Stone Quarter Fraud

Name: Not given, description matches the poster.

Affiliation: Stone quarter bandits

Holding place: Bree-town jailhouse.

Cell: cell A

Crimes confessed: Murder 'of those who deserved it', assault, robbery, fleeing from the law, insulting the watchman multiple times, confession of being one belonging to the poster.

Official Report:

Citizen approached Officer Shelley in the Prancing Pony, wanted poster in hand with the other pointing to the one in question. Villain attempted to flee, stopped by the common man. Shackled by Officer Shelley and taken to the jailhouse to await trial.

It is worth to note the bounties call for heads. Accused held in cells for both protection from sellswords, and punishment.

Citizens Delatore and Brathir request payment for their aid and initiative demonstrated in the accused's apprehension.

I brought both Mr. Connwear and his unnamed daughter to the jailhouse for confirmation of the prisoer. Apparently the man is not the one whom attacked them, nor known to them, and the other bandit is reported dead.

Yet this bandit confessed to the crimes and of his face belonging to the numerous wanted posters. I suggest you question him in person, perhaps he is a third wheel in all of these schemes.

Officer Shelley

The prisoner, having named himself Duhirun, retracted his confession of being part of The Stone Quarter bandits when I had more of the names listed look upon him, namely Devaki, Brichald and Briannon, all of which failed to recognize him for the Bandit member who stole her shoes.

He confessed to crimes of assault and robbery, and retracted that of murder and Stone Quarter Bandit accusation. I saw fit to tie him to the wooden posts outside and have the local residents throw the rotted fruits and vegetables to him.

He is now walked free, under promise to change his ways.

Officer Shelley

Why would anyone confess to a crime that they didn't commit? Especially when we don't even think, they did? Were they really that miserable as a child? Do they need attention that badly? Do give the poor bastard a hug next time you run across him, that may very well be what he needs.

I've mailed a bank note to the man who helped bring him in, the amount much less than the bounty, but enough to be considered a reward.

Either way, best of work to Officer Comstock Shelly, who saw this particular case through from beginning to end in only a couple of days. He to, will be compensated.
