The summer eases in from Spring and all feels well in Falathlorn, since the alliance campaign in Sarnûr there has been a respite, the roads have been clear and trade routes increase in activity.
A recent visit from the Folk of Durin revealed to our collective joy that Master Asudrom has been bestowed the title ‘Heir to Duin’, flanked by many of his kin it was a great time to share in his news and be hosts to him and his kin.
The Flower has received more recruits whom have already commenced their training, one of note to me personally Artue whom is applying herself with the expected diligence and good humour. The Ethiriath grows steadily but I cannot help but feel we need more Wardens, perhaps it will be “all in good time” as my Father used to say.
It was with much admiration we all witnessed the promotion of Hiril Alfiriel to the position of Caun within the Mithdirith. Since her arrival many seasons ago, she has shown nothing but dedication and an excellence to all she has been tasked with. I could think of no one more deserving, furthermore she has endeared herself to all within the Mithdirith as Lady of the Flower and a fierce warrior; she is an example to us all.
Very recently we had the pleasure to accommodate some visiting Perian, Amorey & Bennidict among others had taken the time to travel the distance from the Shire. My Lady Hallothel and I met them on a wet summer’s eve and we spent time showing them the Scholars enclave discussing paintings, pictures and answered some questions on the journey West that many now take. It was a little while later that we heard the soft notes and gentle chorus of the Andúnië whom were playing not far away. For the rest of that day we enjoyed their music and voices as other Eldar gathered drawn by the inviting melodies. I watched my Lady Hallothel often that eve as she acted as a host, serving without a thought for herself, all the more I felt exceptionally proud of her. I am deeply fortunate to call her My Lady.
