Iavas day 16, I Randír Îdh It is done, then. And done rather more quickly and more easily than I had quite expected.

Iavas day 13, I Randír Îdh The weather has cooled somewhat, though the rays of the afternoon sun are still warm to my skin. I have been here for over two weeks and am starting to feel as if my life has never been any different, the memories of home and Lin Giliath already a distant past. Liwurien has left me with a few scrolls of music to practise when I have the time, though in truth I think that even she could see that my fingers are red and aching all the time with the strings of the lute. I do make good progress, or so she tells me.

*Fully suited up, Quiver and Bow, he opens his journal to a fresh page and begins to write*

Permission asked, and given, My student, my friend, Malliel is to marry my closest friend of all Andarne. We attended the gathering of Elves at Imladris not Yesterday and t'was incredibly enjoyable. Andarne.. and his harp, as I danced with Malliel.

*He laughs softly*

Realising with a glance out of a window that it is now near midnight, Nimuviel puts the pile of papers aside and slowly gets up. She takes a poker and leans forward to stir the smouldering embers a little more, then takes the now half-burnt candle by the light of which she had been reading, and goes around the living room to light the other candles with it as well. As she passes her study, she notices the old lute Liwurien had given four years ago lying in a corner next to a bookcase. On a shelf in the bookcase itself, half hidden under a disorderly pile of music scrolls, lies a flute.
