Reniolwaith

Reniolwaith is an elven kin, yet it does include a couple of elf-friends who have proven themselves committed to continuing its work. Originally Reniolwaith was comprised of a small band of travellers, commissioned by the Lady Saeladriel of the Golden Dawn, to fight the shadow growing from the east. As the threat grew it was clear that these few could no longer undertake this task alone. An elven council was formed to help guide and protect this company and others like them and Reniolwaith as it is today was born. The elves of Reniolwaith believe that in order to preserve the wisdom of the Eldar, they must share it with the races that will care for Middle Earth after they depart for the west.  They travel throughout Eriador, assisting lone travelers and small companies, wherever the need is greatest.

The full story of Reniolwaith’s founding and rebirth is given in the history section of our website. The 'rebirth' of Reniolwaith happened in March 2008.  Prior to that the kinship was a single fellowship (originally 8 members) who met once a week to quest together. The main story and time-line of our kinship is centered around the actions of this fellowship.

Since the formation of Reniolwaith's 'elven council' the kin has become considerably more active. We currently have 15 active players and hold regular RP nights at the kinhall as well as running other events.

New members are recruited via a two stage ceremony (ceremonies take place during weekly RP nights). In the first stage the character is recruited and given a task which is fitting to both the goals of the kinship and to the character's backstory. Where appropriate, this can be tied in to the story of the core fellowship (I'Ovannas o mallenminuial).  In the second stage, the character returns a week later and tells the tale of their adventures during the task. If they were successful they are formally welcomed as full members.

Reniolwaith hold gatherings at their kinhall every Thursday evening where weary travellers are always given a warm welcome. Drop in and introduce yourself.
