Brammy

Her quiver was somewhat lighter when she clashed the door shut behind her in a rage.  She had quarreled fiercely with Eroforth, the number of arrows she’d left sticking out of his door were some indication of just how angry she was.

Brammy and Kes tie the knot with a day's notice at the Bree Town Hall. No time like the present!

Davick, a friend and mentor to Kes, officiated. Brammy's brother Fox was the only witness.

The bride looked glorious!

Ted watched as his Aunty Nora cleaned up his little brother. His late mother's sister had taken control of the household in the aftermath of the birth. The new widow, Tom Bramble, took to spending his evenings drinking the “piss-water” of the Mad Badger Inn, coming home drunk and shouting at Ted when told by Nora he had not been entirely useful during the evening. His aunt, to Ted's dismay, ran a strict household.

“Here, hold him while I go fetch some more water. No, not like that, like this”

It had been hours since his mother had declared that the baby was on its way. Ted had been ushered to his attic room and swiftly forgotten about as his aunt arrived at his father's cobbler's shop to deliver his new sibling. He lay now on his straw bed, his head under his pillow doing all he could to drown out the screams.

Ten days had come and gone as Newell found him standing in the same spot as he had a week and a half before. Little suggested that something had changed, yet things had changed considerably since then. Men and women had been swayed, and he now knew the faces of most of the people who came into the Dawnhall to prepare for the vote. Newell looked across the room to find Taala sat talking to Basaran, and a small smirk crept across his face. The lieutenant was a well-liked man in the Dawn and an important figure at that.

Bandits – The Rescue.

Just up the slope, the bandits' encampment could just about be made out through the gap in the trees.  Firelight reflected off the higher ruins and the occasional muffled laugh or curse could be heard.  The night was still otherwise, save for the lapping of water and the occasional hoot of an owl heard overhead on silent wings.
