((This is an old book, yet it is reasonably well preserved. It was written circa 2840 T.A. by one Curon The Venerable, based on the relations and experiences of one Ecthon The Merchant, who was allegedly taken captive by corsairs and held for ransom, during a year, in the city of Umbar. Some passages are outlined or marked by frequent use, the following is a selection of them. Ar-Iskandir keeps the book on a bookshelf in his safehouse))

Wil struck the Orc in the side with his blade causing little more than a flesh wound, but the sting of pain was more than enough to get the wretched creature's attention. With a backhanded fist across his chin the man of Bree was sent tumbling to the ground, both his sword and the banner he held deserting him as if fear had carried them away.

The following passages were recovered from the ruins of a building in the Lone-Lands. Unfortunately, as with all such books, many of the pages are lost or illegible and so only fragments remain. I have added a final section to recount the history of the town to date, these are well documented in our records, but in this recollection I have allowed the narrative to flow. A more comprehensive record exists within the Town Hall Gerand Glasiter, Historian of Bree Town An Extract from the lost Annals of Arthedain
