The date of this entry; the Year 1409, of the Third Age.

More of the news of Angmar comes to us. Cardolan, The Red Hill Land, which houses the tombs and corpses of long past rulers; has fallen.

The Witch-king, as he calls himself, has taken it; and corrupted the cairns. We are told that fell beasts, skeletons and corpses, walk the tombs that they were buried ‘neath!

Troublesome news has arisen. The north-lands, past the Gladden Fields, and the Mountains; called Angmar, has a dictator.

The date of this entry; the Year 492, of the Third Age.

I listen more to the news of the outside world. Gondor, from what I hear, has been beset by ‘Easterlings’.

Cruel, Evil Men. They are brutal, and sack farms and villages; raping and slaying as they go! Gondor, I know, will be strong, and not falter.

And Arnor as it’s ally, surely it will defeat these ragabonds!

More tidings come everyday, and I am glad to hear that the twin-children are growing well. But more news, I hear! A third child is had, whom is named Arwen! From what the messengers speak of; Imladris is awash with celebrations.

The date of this entry; is the Year 140, of the Third Age.

The Lady Celebrían, daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn, sends tidings from her new home; with Master Elrond. Elladan and Elrohir are growing strong, and they apparently resemble their father now in their current age of ten years.

They have so much to live, I feel. And even more so, I feel I will have business with them in the future

This is a Letter

The date of this entry; is the Year 121, of the Third Age. I have begun to think of how, if memory should fail me; words might keep my tale alive.

Thus, I have begun to track my progress, events and thoughts; in a logbook. Always, I will keep it with me.
It is precious; and in times when I cannot bear it, it will reside with the Scholars of Caras Galadhon, my friends.

*Telfaras takes out his tattered journal, placing it upon the table next to a new book that is golden-bound and scattered with Mallorn Leaves. He carefully copies his extracts into the book using the finest handwriting.*

I have now decided that I should record my thoughts and adventures in a newer book so that perhaps one day, other people will read them.

My duties as a member of The Malledhrim have been continuous... And I now realise my loyalty has paid off. Tur Andarne called a meeting at out Kin House this afternoon which I and three others attended. He told us of news and information of sort, but the meeting was very brief. He called me to the front where he spoke soft, kind words and hence I was promoted. It was only a small promotion... but a promotion none-the-less.

*Smiles and starts a little way down the page to indicate a new topic*

My brief trip to Amon Sûl was.. eventful. To say the least.

My intentions were to travel there by foot and hopefully meet another Elf of Mirkwood. Though he did not show up. So I set myself up, carefully concealed perhaps a few yards down the West side of the Weather Hills and kept watch for him. I must have waited a day or so.

*Gazes around, thinking.*
