A toast to The Shire

Our little company of hobbits meet with Lord Khalis in the Hall of Fire before departing from Rivendell. May the stars watch over you, until next time we meet, elven friends!

Feeling  there's something calling me quietly
Wanting to come back, dreaming  to return
To where the misty mountains rise and friendly fires burn
A place I can escape the world
Where the darkness and sorrow cannot go
Peace in mind and heart and sanctuary by the loud water's flow

Sitting quietly in Master Elrond's library at night , looking at the moon and the stars and thinking about what lies ahead of me....

Tired and hungry our small company of hobbits finally make their way down the winding and steep path that leads in  the hidden valley of the elves, Rivendell. Here they come to the Last Homely House west of the Mountains where master Elrond Halfelven dwells

Sing me now softly, wind me in slumber...

The wanderer  sleepeth , soft elven pillow !

Lullaby ! Lullaby ! Alder and Willow !

Hidden somewhere ahead of them, is the beautiful valley of the elves where Master Elrond lives in the Last Homely House west of the Mountains...

Far far away from  home, sitting by a small fire at night in the High Moors, a small company of hobbits sing songs from the Shire. In the distance the snowy peaks of the Lonely Mountains rising above the hidden valley of the elves, Rivendell.

Our little company of hobbits  cross The Ford of Bruinen at night. Weary and hungry they camp for a few hours before taking the road to Rivendell once more...and no Tuk, you cannot take Billy The Badger  back to the Shire
