((Watercolour painting by me. This was completed in one sitting in a matter of hours. I sketched first of all, painted and went over the outline in black ballpoint pen. This was the first time in over a decade that I had used watercolours.))

((This letter is in untidy scrawl, but is legible.))

Dear Miss Cymaru,

I'm writing to let you know that my big sister Bethlan won't be able to work for the next week. She passed out in the kitchen on her shift yesterday. A kind patron took her to a bed and had a healer check her out. Seems she has a fever. Hope it won't be too serious.. our dear mum passed from one.

I'm currently at Bethlan's house looking after her. Please give Barliman our thanks for his help. Hopefully you won't be too short of staff.

I am out. It has taken me all this time to realise, that rotting between the planks of the stocks, awaiting the hangman's noose is not the way I wanted things to be. A friend of mine, who I find myself to miss now more than ever; told me to make the most of life. That life is what you make it, but I should forget about Abrianna. I cannot, and I will not try any longer.
