New Journal, Entry Ten - The New Captain

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

The morning begun bitterly after the ashen victory we had won a few days past.

The North in Sight

An assembly of adventures drawn from the current campaign and weekly events for Eyes of the North. The following stories detail the thoughts and experiences of the rangers and their allies in an uphill battle facing a mysterious and cruel new enemy.

Friendly Encounters

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Friendly encounters are rare for a man of the wilds.

Thorontir knew this well. For many years he would wander far to the east of Eriador as far as the Misty Mountains, vigilant of the movements of the Enemy in dark and forgotten places. Winters too cold and cruel he would find refuge among the elves of Rivendell, residing in comfort and kind company. But even during these days he would long for the hills and mountains, content in the steadfast bond of his steed and the distant companionship he found in the great eagles.

New Journal, Entry Six - The Star Rider

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

A rare stroke of fortune struck me not long ago.

New Journal, Entry Five - Tragedy Averted

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Word reached me today that Oaksford and his band of companions have passed Lake Evendim unscathed.

I'm surprised their passing came to be without troubles for all the wicked intentions of these would-be lawmen. I do not know whether senses finally reached them or if my allies were able to dissuade them from any action before it was too late. It does not matter to me now, what I know is that peace has been maintained.

New Journal, Entry Four - Wisdom of the Elves

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

The wisdom of the elves!

I remember now why it is I so treasure this simple book, to keep a journal and speak my most private words, make bare the true extent of my feelings. Today, I feel only frustration and disappointment. I burn with anger at the injustice and negligence I have witnessed.

New Journal, Entry Three - No True Kinsmen

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

It has been some time since I last wrote here. My time has been short to write of my experiences, and they have been many, my work alongside my remaining kinsmen around Bree-land has continued.

New Journal, Entry Two - Gathering Companions

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I have spent the last few weeks in Ered Luin, as a guests of the elves in the port of Celondim. I have enjoyed peace and plenty here, but I'm afraid to come at ease. This place is not meant for Men, I often feel myself unwilling to leave.

In my first day since arriving here I was assured that my decision to come here was the right one, of all people I may have met it was Ulfey - Haetîra - my dear friend had come here for a calling of her own. She had expected my arrival, and bore me a gift.

New Journal, Entry One - New beginnings

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

My old journal is depleted. Beginning anew.

I was called but I did not answer.

It has been days now since it came. A companion of Halbarad - of The Grey Company - entered my camp, I was not startled, only a kinsman knows where I camp or would approach so calmly. I was not unhappy for the company but his words filled me with dread, even as he said them with a smile. Our chieftain had called for us to gather and to ride, to ride south, to ride to war.
