New Journal, Entry Two - Gathering Companions

I have spent the last few weeks in Ered Luin, as a guests of the elves in the port of Celondim. I have enjoyed peace and plenty here, but I'm afraid to come at ease. This place is not meant for Men, I often feel myself unwilling to leave.

In my first day since arriving here I was assured that my decision to come here was the right one, of all people I may have met it was Ulfey - Haetîra - my dear friend had come here for a calling of her own. She had expected my arrival, and bore me a gift.

A feather of the great eagles, black as a night with no moon and taut as when it still bore its owner. I can never thank her enough for this precious gift. I've dreaded I shall have no hope of gathering them after leaving the east but now I find myself with hope again.

Today I feel emboldened again.

I have found my kinsmen here, both strangers and old friends. Together we ride for Bree-town, in hopes the people here will hold an answer about these new foes pouring in from the south.
