Outward Appearance

A woman of a shorter build, somewhat stocky frame with long ash blonde hair that's normally tied to keep it out of her face. Her fringe cascades down her face to cover the rather large scar that looks purposefully made over her right eye, but never in the way enough to obscure her vision, she also wears makeup to help cover it. She wears darker colors, nothing to make her stand out in a crowd, and easy to move in.(Post war, she adds color to her garb with brighter adornments at times) She enjoys hooded masks and her "Curio" outfit is composed of a raven-themed mask that obscures her whole face and has a matching raven feathered cloak.(this is only seen in extreme situations to hide her identity or where she needs to make a point)

To see her in a dress would be the death of her, the closest you'll ever get is a robe.

She has a cat named Rune who was a mouser for ships along the docks of Gondor. He too is skilled and helps her in her nightly escapades.

Background

Pre-war Bio:
She grew up in Umbar as the daughter of a merchant before she was kidnapped by a Corsair slaver at the age of 6. Forced to be part of the ship crew, eventually after 10 years, the torture got the best of her and she decided she was over it. During one of the wars, she killed her captain, and the ship was destroyed in the process. She survived, washing up on the shore, and was found by a family within Gondor. Later she was put in the orphanage since they didn't have the means to take care of her. She would keep to the streets, stealing what she needed but always looking at those who were able to go within the library, wanting to learn and be a part of that society. Eventually, caught in the act of stealing some books in an attempt to learn, one of the Scholars taught her to read, and write, and even took her as an apprentice.
She grew fast in her teachings and excelled even what the scholar thought she could. But she was in deep with the unfavorable of Gondor and still had her life of crime behind the scenes, however now she sought out priceless relics from the hands of greedy nobles, or despicable groups seeking to destroy them.
Her teacher would be killed and it would send her down a darker road for quite a while out of grief, even as far as being a hired hitman for hated, abusive nobles as the murderer was one. Taking down people in power who sought to corrupt, hurt, and abuse the people under them.
Though, she would notice her actions were rubbing off on the other kids in the Orphanage, now at age 19. She refused to see them go down the same path and changed her ways, or so everyone thought. She would adopt the Crebain feathered alter ego Curio and still carry out her other motives, becoming both feared and admired in the underground.
Years later, she tried giving up the mantle for nefarious purposes and going back to relic hunting, but she was hired to kill whom she thought was her friend. She followed them close to protect them, but feared telling them about it because it would force her to share her past she despised. She wanted to find the one who hired her, take him down, and take the money for the kids back at the orphanage(3 were put in after being found on a slaver ship. She loved each of them like her own) But the truth came out and drove a wedge between them. She lost everyone she cared about again, but this time no one stole them from her, it was her fault. She was able to leave their company before blood was drawn but went into kill mode against the man who had hired her and forced her past to come to the forefront.
She was badly hurt but managed to finish her mission and make it back to Gondor to recover. From there she heard the news of Dol Amroth, and the Corsairs making their way through to take the city. Something awoke in her, something greater. Once healed, she hugged her kids tight and went off to fight in the last Corsair War that plagued Gondoras a way to finally settle the hatred of her past for a good cause.
She earned a title of honor and rebuilt herself as an outstanding citizen and warrior of Dol Amroth and of Gondor, and eventually decided to move to a much quieter town that wasn't tied to as many memories, Bree.
closer to 30, she opened a store there, named Branwenn's Books and Apothecary, run by herself and her helper, Radford, a kind hobbit who feels more a Bree-man than a hobbit. She lives here with her 3 adopted kids, Lyla, Nikoli, and Fiorra.
