Whilst he rarely speaks of his origins, the cut of his clothing, his slight accent and the fashion in which he treats his hair and mustasche with oil suggests he might hail from somewhere in the southern parts of Middle-earth.

He can often be found minding his own business, rarely engaging in conversation with others - not that he seems bothered by it, but rather that he feels comfortable being alone. One might expect a merc to be loud, smelly, annoying and threatening - Jelthian is none of those things. He can be quite charming when feeling happy, and when his patience with others comes to an end (which very rarely happens) he avoids confrontation and instead leave to find an alternate way to deal with the frustration.

He is not a modest man, and sometimes it would seem as though he can't quite make his spear techniques or swiftness on horseback match that of his boasting. Never the less, it appears hard to be angry at him due to these circumstances because of his polite manner and charm.
