A quickly made sign stands on the road towards Chetwood, just beyond the lumber camp.
Next to it lays the body of a dead female Warg with two arrows stuck in its neck.
The sign read:

Beware travelers.
It was not alone.......

A parchment on the noticeboard and the town crier would like to inform the folk of Bree that there are reports of at least one monstrous wolf spotted within the Chetwood! There are claims it is one of the creatures called a 'Warg'.

The Bree Watch beseeches the aid of any capable hunters to report to Captain Adalbart about gathering a group to hunt and rid this dangerous beast from our lands!

( This hunt shall be treated as a serious undertaking, keeping in mind what dangerous creatures a warg can be. Feel free to contact or send a letter to Adalbart in-game! )

As of this week the senior watcher Adalbart Woodsley has taken position as captain of the Bree Watch, it remains to be seen how successful the Bree Watch shall be in upholding the law under this new leadership.

Any and all signs of criminal activity are encouraged to be reported either directly to a watcher or let word be passed on to the jail-house. Should anyone desire a meeting with the captain one may leave word with the Bree Watch's clerk, Bartadred.

Furthermore, The Bree Watch has opened its ranks for new recruits, lads of the Men and Hobbits of Bree-land are welcome to apply today and do their part in keeping Bree-land safe!

Good people of Bree-Town, it has come to the attention of the Manúr dynasty, that a murder has taken place in the town of Bree. While the Manúr are a Dwarven dynasty, and this may seem odd - There have been other murders, and they may be interlinked.

Look for the prime-suspect, a tall, over 6 foot, man, of whom has jet-black hair and a charmed-facial shape, he is slender and is desribed as having a fondness for red, or orange, or crimson for that matter, and baggy clothes, more the proof of his murder - He would have needed this form of confusion, and the speed.

His accomplice, we have less information on, however one may begin their look in the most popular parts of town - As the accomplice was only noted as a "Normal-appearing" person, who seemed common to the eye in such a town.

Any who can apprehend the said criminals, alive - At that, will be payed a handsome reward of money, to which would be decided upon, based on the state of the criminals' turning in, and the way you choose to bring them to us. Have no worries, however - As the reward will truly be enough for months at an inn, or a new set of armor perhaps.

If you fear you cannot perform the arrest upon whom you suspect is the murderer, or his accomplice - Then do not feel any hesitation to contact the Manúr, we will be pleased to complete the arrest ourselves - This will not lessen your reward, either.

For further enquiries, send word for The Bear of Manúr.

{OOC: Should you catch the criminal, or ICly need help catching him - Send a letter via the ingame mailbox system, to Garmorn, the criminal is existent - Just to state, to avoid any misconceptions or misunderstandings, please try to remain as IC as possible, avoid metagaming, godmoting and keep the "letters" as IC as possible, too - Unless it's not possible, or you simply don't wish to --- Any OOC enquiries, questions or ideas relating to this post, or any of my other works can be sent to Garmorn, Thank you :)}

Trained Hounds of Combe

Have you ever felt lonely, or empty inside?

Well you probably don't have a hound then!

Yes, we all know dogs truly are man's best friend. They are loyal, kind at heart, and with the right training can be a very useful companion, instead of just a humble pet.

There are all sorts of dogs, to serve all sorts of purposes.

  • Seeing eye dogs, (50 silver)
  • Hunting dogs, (25 silver)
  • Search dogs, (25 silver)
  • Watch dogs (20 silver)
  • Guard dogs, (20 silver)
  • Herding dogs (15 silver)

(note: Watch dogs, and Guard dogs, are not the same thing)

And for only ten silver you can have an 'all purpose dog' which will eat any food that falls onto your floor, love you unconditionally, keep your bed warm for you, and protect you from any mail courier who might come onto your property. As for the services listed above, they are less inclined to perform.

You have my guarantee that all of these dogs are trained to the fullest of their abilities to perform all necessary tasks, and all of them are bred for their purpose. (Example: Some of the dogs with longer noses, have been trained as search dogs, where as the bigger, bulky, scary dogs, will be trained as guard dogs).

Interested in obtaining one of these friendly mutts? Send a letter to the central mail office of Combe, for Rhyva Red, and tell me exactly what kind of hound you are looking for. Within a few days, it will be yours! For more information, feel free to ask me at any time.

Note: For an extra five silver coins, you get a leash and leather collar.

Rhyva is not responsible for any injuries obtained by these animals, or if the animal is killed. No refunds. Dogs must be used for their purpose or they will eventually forget what they've learned. Do not feed dogs sugar. If your dog froths at the mouth and becomes hostile, kill it. Dogs that are either too small, or too unintelligent to train will be sold as pets, nothing more. Do not expect a dog the size of a chicken to defend your home from intruders.
