Faeger's Notes - A meeting of the Eored.

A congregation of Sperewigends, for the most part...alongside that of Lord Ehris Tiubar. It has been sometime since I gathered like this amongst my fellow kinsmen and women, and I have to say...I found it daunting. Most unlike myself. It was a great pleasure to have the company of Lord Ehris, his approach in matters of concern to the Eored is refreshing. It appeared most important to him that he took council from us all...and with being so far from home and in few numbers it seems a most wise choice. He even took into consideration the thoughts and feelings of the serving girl at the Pony, Eoryn. It seems though few are used to an objective and unbiased point of view....like most fighters and soldiers, honour and pride consumes all. Perhaps I should settle my analytical ways, or perhaps they may come to accept them...with hope they know I mean no insult to any of them. It seems we shall put our faith in a man who seems well versed in treading a quieter path....to scout the Dunlending camps near the gap of the Mearc. And I do not doubt his abilities, though I do fear the haste at which we scour for routes to return home. I, for one, came to realise not long ago that my path may not lead me homeward. I am used to remaining unsettled, though experiences here in Bree have brought upon the subject of change. When stood amongst those Spears...I could not help but join them in their hope for a return home, and to search for possible answers. But, now I am left uncertain. What will happen to those who wish to remain here? The girl Eoryn….does she wish to return? What would happen if she wished to, if Bree was now her home? I suppose these are just questions I need to ask myself. One thing is certain…I need to get to know these men and women, outside of meetings of such import. Share a mead, discuss merriment and joy, so that the cloud and burden most wear seems lighter.
