The Three Scouts
The three scouts, sent out by Aicanwe to assess the present situation with other elven groups. Elunwe the Eldest, Ilmaro the most experienced of the scouts, and Haldalote, Captain of the guards. All three have had some limited encounters with other kins, but none are totally sure of what they will find.
They separate just east of Mirkwood, with Ilmaro going ahead to seek audience with King Thranduil, Elunwe continuing over the Misty Mountains to seek council with Cirdan of the Havens, while Haldalote heads south, to Lothlorien. The plan is for them to meet up in four months time, in Imladris, before heading home.
