Company of the East Road - quest in Lone Lands, part 2

Imeviel went to check Bree library and scholars guild, to find some clues there.

Ceanwulf, Mowyn, Goodbottom, Helegbor, Salandril and Tarnon met at the Forsaken Inn.
They traveled to the cave with the Longbeards expedition, which is called Iorvinas. Apparently the cave was only an entrance to a larger underground complex partially buried in time. The dwarves were only 3 in total, and started excavations very recently.

Tarnon presented the torn craftsman diary to the main dwarf. The little guy didn't particularly help, only he pointed out that the weapons drawn in the book are 100% not of dwarven origin and most probably orc or half-orc making.

He also agreed that the party can do a foraging patrol in the cave.

After short time, the party noticed movement and light in the corridors. The underground was occupied by Dourhand dwarves and also some orcs, although both in separate areas.

The party was able to surprise and stun one dwarf. They dragged him to upper areas and woke him up by some cold water from the underground stream. Obviously, any activity in the deeper areas was covered by loud noise of a little waterfall, so the Longbeards expedition didn't have a clue about any other inhabitants of the ancient ruins. The interrogated Dourhand dwarf told that his kin is also doing excavations. This looked very suspicious, as these dwarven houses are known to hate each other and it was kinda unimaginable that they could cooperate. So the party decided to bring the Dourhand one to the Longbeard foreman Henir on the upper floor.

The foreman was very surprised to find out that the excavation site is already occupied by someone, especially by the hated Dourhand kin. It was obvious that the groups didn't know of each other (the Longbeards were just at the beginning and the Dourhands came from opposite direction).

The party left the captive at the foreman and stormed inside the deeper level of the ruins. The Dourhands nor the orcs were not a match for skilled and battle-hardened adventurers. Finally the party found what was expected - another entrance to the ruins, closed by a solid door.
