I woke up to find that Leoffrith had already left. The house was empty, and I spent a little while curled up on the bed and reading, before I finally decided to venture into town. I stopped by the seamstress again - I swear, her entire business is coming from me lately - and asked her for something new. I found Leoffrith later, in the Prancing Pony. He was talking with Carria but she left before I could say hi. Leoffrith says she's been in a spot recently, with many people angry with her. From the small snippets of the story I know, I don't think she did too much wrong. I think it's incredibly rude to just show up at someone's house without writing ahead and asking first, and even more rude to put an axe in their door! I, of course, don't know the whole story. But from what I've been told, it's that same dwarf that accused me of being a spy for the enemy that's the cause of it. I'm not surprised.
There hasn't been much time to write the past few days. All of my worries from a few days ago have been washed away, as if they weren't important at all. And last night was certainly far better than any night I've had in a long time. Leoffrith says that he loves me, and I have been anxiously wishing that my mother was here to meet him. I think she'd love him to pieces, and I think my siblings would too. If I had my way, I'd sell my house immediately and move into his. I have felt very alone in Bree, and I think Leoffrith tries to make me feel like I belong there. He introduced me to his horse today, and we took shelter in the stable when it started to rain.
Then I took him to the library by the Scholar's Stair. He seems really set on buying me really nice things, but I'm just happy with what I have, him included in that. I left to finish my errands, and I'll stop at the market to get a nice cut of meat for dinner.
