Place: The Common Room Of The Forsaken Inn
Time: Few days after the three departed Bree to return home
Scene: Three sisters Aureliyn, Aevalyn and Adaelyn sitting by a table enjoying a meal.
Aure sniffed, chewing loudly, while she spoke, ”Between us and our home lies hundred black blooded corpses. I will be the one who lays them into the mud while you two hide behind the rocks. This is the plan. Is the plan clear to everyone present?” She paused her munching, lifting a sturdy red eyebrow at her two little sisters. They were little in literal sense as well, compared to their giant of a big sister, whose face was decorated beautifully with rainbow coloured bruises.
Adae was curiously observing adventures of a mouse which sprinted across the room gathering bits of abandoned food from here and there, thus her big sister’s words were lost in oblivion. Aevalyn however was more present and bursted into a merry laughter, ”I will not hide behind a rock, Aure.”
Aure sighed, ”You will hide behind a rock.” She smashed her fist into the table to gather Adae’s attention as well, ”And you will too!” Adae turned stiff, snapping her gaze at her two sisters, clearly clueless what they were talking about. Aure’s angry glare gave a hint it was something very serious and urgent, so she nodded many times swiftly to agree.
Aure looked at Aeva, while gesturing the nodding and clueless Adae, ”See, Adae agrees with me. You will hide behind a rock - End of discussion.” Adae’s lips curled suddenly into a brightest of smiles, ”Are we playing hide and seek like when we were little?”
Aeva couldn’t help but to burst into laughter again.
Aure deadpanned at Adae, but eventually replied, ”Yes, you two are playing hide and seek with the goblins while I chop their heads off.” Adae bit her lip, ”But how will they ever find us if you kill them?” Aure let out a breath, attempting to keep her voice calm, ”They are not supposed to find you, dear.”
”Adae can hide behind the rock, I will wield my sword by your side big sister. I will save your ass, and you will be forever in debt to me.”, Aeva declared solemnly. The idea brought the faintest of grins on Aure’s face,”You mean you will stumble around with your little sword and I will have to work twice as hard to keep you alive? Yes. I’ll most certainly be forever in debt.” Aeva grinned back at the tall woman's sarcasm, seeking to smash the side of her face over the table, ”You’ll be surprised!” Aure was too slow to block the blow, so she just took it with another grin, ”Right.”
Adae started to braid Aeva's hair, losing herself in her dreamworlds while her two big sisters continued to argue loudly about whose sword was sharper. Their words a distant mumbling to the ears of the youngest, even if the argument made her feel strangely happy and homely. It was exactly like when they were young girls, sitting by the table of their father's farm.
