If I Could Decide I Would Abandon You Instantly

Aureliyn and Aevalyn walked out of The Combe and Wattle after a certain meeting with a certain man. Aureliyn frowned in thought, ”His eyes looked in slightly different directions. One looked there and another looked there.” She gestured the said directions with her hand, before finishing, ”I dont trust him at all.”

Aevalyn shook her head with a smile, ”It was a physical flaw Aure. It doesn't mean he can not be trusted!”

Aureliyn didn’t smile, ”I still wont trust him. He didn’t look me into my eyes while he spoke. It doesn't promise good, Aeva.”

Aevalyn raised her voice slightly, ”It's a physical flaw! He can not control it. His eyes will always look into different directions.”

Aureliyn grinned briefly, evidently just teasing her sister, feigning quickly a serious expression again, ”He should learn to control his eyes."

Aevalyn slammed her forearm into Aureliyn's armoured chest.

Aureliyn smiled down at her little sister, "You've grown stronger little one."

Aevalyn protested, ”I’m not a child anymore."

”I’d believe you, if you'd for once stop acting like one.”, the older sibling said, offering Aevalyn a faint grin.

She protested, ”I dont act like a child!"

”You do.”

”Nuh uh.”

”You do.”

”Nuh uh.”

”You do.”

”Nuh uh.”

Aureliyn looked at Aevalyn raising one eyebrow slowly.

Aevalyn smiled at her, ”I’ve grown stronger thanks to Bor. He taught me to train before he died.”

Aureliyn frowned, looking away from her sister, "Don’t mention his name in my presence."

Aevalyn casted a daring look at her sister,

”Bor."

"Don’t.”

"Bor."

”Aeva, Don’t.”

Bor.

Aureliyn looked at her sister, her voice carrying deeply threatening tones, "Aeva, stop."

"But I loved him…You must accept it eventually!”

Aureliyn’s frown only darkened, ”How could you have loved a man who raided farms of your kindred men, slaughtered innocent children and caused terror to young women?”

Aevalyn frowned at her in return, ”We were never that nice toward them either.”

Aureliyn snorted, ”There is a reason for that Aeva.”

”Perhaps they have their reasons as well.”, the younger one argued.

Aureliyn looked away again, ”It breaks my heart that you betrayed our country by choosing to lay with our enemy.”

Aevalyn’s expression grew half-anxious and half-irritated. She said nothing, and thus Aureliyn quite casually continued, ”…I don't think these married men are any progress though. If you must be with a man, why not choose someone decent? Someone who isn’t married…. and someone who doesn’t try to kill your family.”

Aevalyn looked down at the ground, appearing saddened by her sister’s words, ”One can not decide whom they love.”

Aureliyn rolled her eyes and laid her arm over Aevalyn’s shoulders, lowering her head to smile gently at her little sister, ”Yet I have decided to love you despite your crimes against our kingdom.”

Aevalyn looked away from her, grinning faintly, ”I love you too, but it's not a decision. If I could decide I would abandon you instantly.”

Aureliyn chuckled, removing her arm from her sister’s shoulders and placing her hand on her own heart, ”Ouch...Aeva... That was a bit harsh." She then cleared her throat, changing the subject back to the matter that required their attention, ”So what of this silly eyed man, will we follow the lead he offered?”

Aevalyn nodded, ”Aye, I think he seemed nice and sincere.”
Aureliyn rolled her eyes, snorting amusedly, ”You’d view even a murdering and thieving rapist ’nice and sincere’.”
Aevalyn feigned an offended look, ”I would not!”
Aureliyn gestured innocently to her side, ”Well think of Bor for instance. He was a murdering and thieving rapist.”
Aevalyn’s feigned offence turned into real one and she punched her fist into her sister’s stomach. If it would’ve been anyone but her little sister Aureliyn would’ve gripped their head and bashed her forehead into their skull, but as it was Aevalyn she merely smiled softly down at her, her usually hard gaze almost tender,

”...It’ll rain soon, we should head back.”
