I left the camp at night, since I’ve been told the elves here aren’t very friendly, I figured it might be best to travel then. You know, its funny I’ve noticed.. that elves love to build their stuff around waterfalls. At one point there were two different ones coming off the mountain. I stopped to take in the view, I love waterfalls. They are so fun to jump from! Well.. As long as it’s not too shallow!

I continued down the path, which led to a bridge that was completely wrecked. Thankfully the water it was made to go over was very shallow. Maybe that’s why they didn’t repair it. I did see a man who had a bunch of arrows in him.. shortly after I crossed the stream. I got little worried but didn’t stay around too long at that spot. I’m glad I left at night. I wanted to get out of that forest as quick as I could.

I made sure I had the river in my sights the entire time, even riding a little off the path closer to the river bank. Just so I didn’t get spotted by an elf on the road, and I tend to get distracted easily. I had keep my focus high… I’m traveling by myself sadly. I hope I run into someone out here who will ride a bit with me. It gets lonely with just Roach to talk to. While riding along the river, I noticed some rope tied around the trunk of a tree. I wonder what it was used for. It wasn’t very long, maybe someone tied up there hunting dog here or something. There was another one across the river at another tree.. No idea… maybe if I run into a friendly elf, I’ll ask them what’s that’s all about.

I continued down the riverbank, at one point I had to go to the path because the riverbank parted into a small side stream, and the bank was too steep for my steed to cross. They had a small bridge, which was lit by these crystal like lights. Maybe they got them from Moria, they looked very similar to the crystals in there.

Shortly after the bridge, I came to a small encampment. I didn’t speak a word to any of the elves, and I kept my hood on tight, and avoided eye contact. I figure that is what was saving me since they Couldn’t tell if I was one of them or not.. Maybe they could.. who knows. I didn’t want to stay long enough to find out. The river opened up into a delta… I wasn’t sure which way to go. I checked my notes… and it just said “River”!! Damnit I wish I listened better…

In the camp, there was a small bridge.. I figured to just go down that way, because.. well if theres a bridge leading down the river.. There must be something down there right? followed down the path and the sun started to rise. I figured I should make a camp soon and let Roach rest from the nights travel. The forest changed a bit, but I wasn’t too worried. Still had normal looking animals like bears and deers. I was still along the river so I feel like I’m going the right way! I can’t wait to get to Gondor.

I found a small camp of humans!! They were fishermen, I was so happy to see them, and not pointy ears! They were a bit surprised to see me, but they said I could stay a few nights as long as I helped them catch fish.

Ha! So that’s what I did! Reminded me of when Cirdu took me to Rivendell. We made camp at a river as well and fished. Well.. I fished… he didn’t.. Maybe he didn’t know how to fish. I never thought to ask him when I was there. He kept teasing me that I talked to fish! haha! Well, sometimes talking to things that don’t reply to you.. help you think!! Anyway It’s been a long night. and I need to get some rest.
