Unexpected Letters

Folded with this Journal page is a letter from her Dear friend Dudon, Letter from her Mentor, and a Letter from a friend to Dudon.

Your swell pal Hillcrest here, braving the dark and having a beer!
Down I went and up I’ll come, by the time you read this I’ll already be done
I’m two days in the Ol’mines of Mori, just have a seat and I’ll tell you my story
My leads had a start, the ends have no tail so I’m being a good lad and sending you this mail
Soon after the send off I’ll cross the lonely span, hit the trail running and stick to my plan
If you don’t hear back from me in a week or two it’s likely I tripped and lost my good shoe
Please don’t worry you’ll know when I’m done
I’ll return to the shire and we will have lodes of fun

I got a letter today from my brother Dudon! It is so nice to hear from him. I guess his natural venture into Knitting is paying off. I can't wait to see him. Hopefully he'll be in the shire when I decide to head off to the North. It would be grand to have a great party and not worry about having to look over my shoulder like I do in Bree now. Perhaps I should stay in the shire until he arrives so I can see him before I leave on my journey.

I'm almost ready to head out. I am just trying to get Gold to make me some blades before I go. I sent him a letter about it... But I guess he's busy with the House. I guess I will have to do some Gardening and try and get a pair there. Although, I might just leave with these pesky daggers.

I got another letter today.. This one from my mentor. * this letter is also folded between the pages.*

Dear Cec.
Did you believe your planed departure would go unnoticed? I understand your reasons for fleeing Bree for now, but i fear the other roses, especially Garton will not take so lightly. That said I plan on doing whatever I can to shield you from the storm if I must, I have been patrolling the roads between Evendim and The North Downs, one my father's lieutenants has been moving through this area in an attempt to keep himself out of my reach. I intend to find him and once I do, hand him over to some close allies of my family in Gondor. I fear I must keep this letter short for it is written in Trestlebridge, a town under siege that may be attacked by orcs at any moment. I regret that I will not get the chance to say a proper farewell, but i hope that our paths may cross again. Keep in touch, I may try to go north and meet you if I find the time
Your Mentor and friend, Tarthanir

I haven't left  yet, but I am avoiding Bree like the Plague... It's just too unpredictable. I am quite surprised that he noticed I wasn't around. But he is my Mentor, and smart. I will keep in touch with him, and possibly invite him to the shire to have the small party before I leave with my hobbit friends. Dudon should be in town. He is always quite promt only a few days should pass and he'll be back in the shire to tell me about his new Knitting experience.

Trestlebridge I don't believe I've been there... Its good to hear that Tarth is making some progress on his family situation. I guess Luckily for me I don't have family to worry about... HA! What am I saying I have my brother Dudon! He usually can care for himself... Sort of..

*this letter is folded with the other two and between the pages.*

Hello?
 I am writing this letter and sending several copies to various cities throughout Eriador, in the hopes of finding you.

I recently made the acquaintance of a quirky Hobbit named Dudon. By which I mean, i saved his a-s from certain death. Which he promptly repaid my efforts by trying to go back out and get himself killed~ AGAIN!

I just received an enigmatic missive from him, asking me and you (he mentioned your name as a friend) to seek his current whereabouts. I wish to find the rascal, if only to throttle him for causing so much worry! Shall we meet sometime to discuss this possibility?

You can send a reply letter to my house at: 3 Fountain St, Islin Neighborhood, Breeland. By the by -the house is locked, but I've instructed the guard to allow you entry if you mention the code word 'Dudon'. Please help yourself to anything you want/need there.
~Kynethryt~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As soon as I got the letter, I decided to stop by Miss Kynethryt's house. Fortunately, I was Gardening, and already in the area. I said the code word to the guard and he let me in... He was a bit hesitant.. but he did. There was nobody inside... I changed in there to some of my commoner clothes. I couldn't help myself... I had to test the lock on her chest.
Which to my surprise was easilly picked!  I took a peek, and was amazed at the vegetables... but... I restrained myself. She saved my brother's life from the North. There is no way I could take from her, after she had risked her life for his. She must have gotten a letter like mine from Dudon, but I'll have to ask or compare letters with her. To me, Dudon didn't seem to be in danger in my letter... But perhaps my letter is a bit dated? Or he sent another? No matter, I'll have to meet with her, hopefully by this time Dudon will be in town and we can all have a great party, and tease her for worrying so much!
Well, It's time to hit the hay.  I think I'm gonna pass out at Cirdu's house... maybe I'll sleep in his bed, since he should have his other bed at his Roommate's house... I'm exhausted from all the Gardening I've been doing.
