After Action Report: Day 3 - The Prisoner
Once you reach the bottom, there is only way up. Or so I wish to think.
We found a track north of Esteldin, we followed it until we arrived to a stepped beacon hill. Luck was with us, in the glade down from the hill there was a half burnt cottage, raiders were still there. Wyndslaw led the attack and we swiftly dealt with the half dozen cultists, managing to capture one of them alive and rescue a prisoner.
Interrogating the raider proved near to useless, he knew almost nothing about our friends, only that they where moved during the night to another unknown place. At least we were on the right track and our friends were alive until last night.
The prisoner on the other hand proved more useful, he identified our friends and gave us some solid information about them. Nienora and Colthuin were shipped to some hidden base camp in North Downs during the night, Charlithel was sent north the same day of her capture. The prisoner also traded us a map and some secret documents he secured from the raider's leader corpse, his price: the life of the remaining raider… we paid without hesitation.
We camped at the beacon top, it is easily defendable and we can over watch the surroundings from up there. A biter choice opens before us, to go north after Charlithel or west for Nienora and Colt. Caravaggio seems to think two beats one and looks decided to march west, Belagor is obviously upset and wishes we go north, I am not sure how he will take it if we march the other way, I will have to keep an eye on him through the night… I fear he will march alone if given half a chance.
