I sit here in Thamas Lorn for the first time in many moons, my Lady Amorith and I have been asked to attend a great gathering to the North at Thorins Hall, the 3rd Ting of the West. We will represent the Flower along with the Ellon and Scholar Cirionar. I recall meeting the large party of Dwarves a month or so ago in the vale announcing this gathering, twas an interesting and encouraging encounter, so at that time I was glad to accept their invitation on behalf of the Flower.
I have nought been to such a gathering and certainly never as a guest of the kin Durins Folk, so this will be a new experience, they are a proud race and are not famed for their tolerance so I do hope nothing gets lost or misconstrued in the discussions that will occur.
I know little more of what will be presented at the gathering save that all was mentioned in the Vale was matters concerning us all. Perhaps they propose fresh alliances long since forgotten, or wish to establish new trade, truthfully I don’t know.
We set out early the next day to make good time to Thorins Gate, hopefully there will be enough time to get to know Cirionar a little more as we are only just getting acquainted.
This future is uncertain, but I do not feel a sense of foreboding rather a faint hope for good new things.
