Time marches forward assuredly.. it does not relent for anyone.. all we can do is prepare and act in the times we have.. to make the most of what we have.. enjoy who we are with.. and cherish it.
The Mithdirith is ever busy, ‘the three’ as we call them (Alfiriel, Elvea and Hallothel) have now received their blues and very worthily so. Some more have yet to complete their training as of yet, but it progresses well none the less.
Several of us went to Echad Rond to be trained by Culir and Linnethril, learning to move silently and hidden, improving our awareness of our surroundings. Tracking and other aspects of field craft were imparted from Culir and gladly received I might add!
Once again we came upon a few Goblin scouts, clearly the matter will need to be addressed, bringing such news to Hirgonui and Galvathalion was dire.. but required. Plans are being drawn up on how to address this and other fell news that besets the region. I only ponder if there is enough of us? Alas I suspect not.
I have recently taken Alfiriel out on several patrols as I did with Faelach, showing her the Southern and Northern routes and explaining what we expect and hope for on such. She is a quick learner and very eager in the right sense, above all she is very respectful and mindful. Though I am new to giving instruction, having someone so ready to learn is a true pleasure and joy to pass on knowledge to. We also went over basic martial drill, offensive and defensive, yet again she proves that she is astute and quick to learn. I have no doubt in my mind she will a boon Shield Sister when we face the shadow in the time to come.
My dear friend Hallothel has been on her training with Culir now for many weeks and is unlikely to be seen for many more. I can only hope all goes well with both of them.
New arrivals have arrived to aid Galvathalion, Ellethgil the most recent.
Hirgonui and Aearandir have been most busy planning the near future, it is now inescapable, with so many threats presenting themselves the Flower will begin to move in force. Though where and when we strike is not for me to decide. My fear if any, is that I have passed on enough knowledge, time will tell as it ever does.
