Joy

Word gets around to and fro over the next week, when lute music is heard by the Starmere Lake. Rumour has it someone has brought a large keg of booze out there, and some quieter folk gather by the light of a campfire to dance and take joy in good company. Sporadic gatherings happen over several days and nights.

A bustle of excitement could be heard as a gathering of finely dressed folk, of all shapes and sizes gathered in the centre of Staddle. The local Hobbits and merchants, finally clearing up on the late afternoon, looked on at the strange sight... though it was most certainly a meeting of some revelry, they wondered to its purpose and began gossiping quietly. ‘Twas not long before the crowd moved on, making their way toward Big Staddlemere, leaving the Hobbits to speak amongst themselves.
