Gaeded paid the stablehand for the horses and then everyone choose from the saddled horses that had been prepaired for them. The horses ranged from all shapes and sizes. Caithryth's was over large, a slow ploughing horse.

Familiar Downpours

It rained heavier as the company walked towards Bree to get the horses. Rain showers were often in Bree-land. It made those who are originally from there feel a little sad that they are leaving their home behind. It made those who were from distant lands feel eager to leave, so see new lands and also perhaps to go home once again.

The Black Steel leave The Thirsty Boar for the last time to go get the hired horses they'll be using to travel to Moria for the first leg of the journey. It rains heavily, as it often does in Bree-land.

I left early in the morning to return to my folks and pack. I spoke with them at length, to convince them that it was the right plan for me to go to Combe and look for work so that I could help them rebuild the house and the business. I think my mum felt safer knowing that I was not going on my own, but that Toby and Blake would come with me. My dad however wasn’t quite convinced that a girl like me should travel out of town in the company of two boy my own age.

Deep in the night, in one of the rooms at the Pony, Taraborn lay awake in the dark. A warm, soft body is curled up against him, her coppery hair splayed across his chest and her breath light and faint. Narys’ presence would normally be enough to help him sleep almost instantly, especially after the rigorous fun they had had not long ago. But not tonight. Tonight, he lay awake, his mind contemplating life and what he wanted from it.

She glanced towards the camp for the last time then began to ride off slowly. It was another of her lone journeys that she got accustomed to. She knew that she can only count on herself all the time.

The Forngarmo was spending the night in the forests of Bree-Land like usual, but suddenly she felt the teeth on her right leg then heard howling nearby. She woke up reaching for her sword but then Valor, her wolf came closer to her, revealing that it wasn't a threat and it was just him. She looked at him and sighed with relief, laughing at her own temper. She then sat down, wondering why he came to her in the middle of the night as he was never doing that and what's more important - Why he woke her like this.

The road goes through the Shire and into Bree-land, before going directly through the West Gate of Bree-town, in which the brothers were going to settle down.
